Q: What type of technologies does Maggies offer?

A: Maggies is one of Canada's oldest (by and for) sex worker support organizations. We are funded to perform HIV education and prevention work with those at most risk (gay men, people of colour, etc.). People attending Steamworks can obtain lube and condoms from us, as well as sexual health information, referrals and more information about Maggie's and the programming we offer

Q: What type of outreach and counseling does ACT provide?
A. ACT’s Gay Men’s Outreach Program provides safer sex materials, sexual health and harm reduction

     information and referrals by peer outreach volunteers. Our volunteers are trained to provide HIV and STI       

     information about transmission, testing and treatment. They are also trained to provide harm reduction

     information and tips, handing out condom, lubes and literature with information that can empower gay men to

     make informed decisions when it comes to sexual health and risk.

Q: What type of outreach and counseling does Alliance of South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP) provide?

A: ASAAP provides information on sexual health and referrals to counseling, testing and other resources of

     information and support.

Q: What type of outreach does Asian Community Aids Services (ACAS) provide Steamworks’ members?
A:  ACAS provides outreach at Steamworks by connecting to the patrons through friendly conversation with a

     Peer Outreach Worker and trained volunteers.  We offer pre/post counseling on sexual health (HIV, STIs,     

     testing, etc.) and also offer referrals to service organizations.
